What a day! I set off extra early as I didn’t know if any of the roads would be closed, and was super careful travelling past/under trees in case they crashed on me, but what I underestimated was just how bad it would be when I was trying to unload the car once I got there! The heavens opened, and though I had my boots and coat on the radiators for almost 8 hours they still weren’t dry till the following morning after leaving them all night on my underfloor heating.
Not as many dancers as usual (with that weather no wonder) but we still had our usual wonderful friendly atmosphere, and I must congratulate those of you who, like me, braved that awful weather to come out and dance – stars, every one of you xxxxx
Of course, Toppers excelled as usual with fabulous tandas and I even got to dance a few with help from Julia in the kitchen. So good to have that support – THANK YOU from me and my back!
It didn’t help that I wasn’t sure how many to cater for, so please could you confirm if you are coming to our next tea dance?
Jacqui Grant Lovely afternoon. Worth braving the winds for 😊
See our tea dance in January – DJ Toppers
We are back at Croft on Sunday 8th March with DJ CHRIS BAMBER
