We had such a lovely afternoon on Remembrance Sunday – the sun even came out for part of the afternoon! I must give my thanks to Bob Finch of Gresford Tango for playing music to keep the dance floor full, to his wife Viv for helping out putting up the bunting and on the desk when I was too busy in the kitchen, my Mum’s friend Michael for helping in the kitchen serving and washing up alongside Don from Newton Dance Shoes who also brought in a few new dance show brochures for our clientel to peruse.
Also, it was lovely to have Ali Hartland from VIVA TANGO and her husband Derek join us at their first Tea and Tango tea dance, and (new to our little tango group) tango dancer David from Bristol, plus I extend my thanks as ever to our regular dancers who make our Sundays such a joyous occasion.
Don’t forget – we are NOT OPEN in December – but Bob Finch of Gresford Tango near Chester has his milonga on Saturday 30th November, and don’t forget to check out Viva Tango on Facebook for their next dates.
SUNDAY 8TH DECEMBER is Martin’s SIMPY TANGO tea dance at Carr Street in Bamber Bridge, contact him directly as there are limited numbers, and of course it’s the CC Tango Welsh Tango weekend in Llandudno 6th – 8th December – I have already paid and can’t wait to improve my tango (yes, I know, it needs it!)
We are back
at Croft Village Memorial Hall in the New Year on Sunday 12th January 2-6pm with a SECOND HAND SHOE SALE. If you have dance shoes in good or excellent condition for sale, put on a label and a price with your name and phone number, and I will provide a table for you to display and hopefully sell them! Buyers beware – TEA AND TANGO ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY SHOES NEW, OLD, OR BORROWED, but I hope after all the shoes that get sold every dance I turn up that you walk away happy with your shoes.
Please see our photos from our HALLOWEEN TEA DANCE in October.
