About Us

PUT YOUR DANCING SHOES IN YOUR BAG AND FIND US!

ESTABLISHED IN 2014 and based in Greater Manchester, TEA AND TANGO is the pseudonym for Ruth who runs Argentine tango milongas and tea dances at various venues across the North West.  Ruth has run her own businesses for many years, and has been dancing for more than 10 years. Ruth is a qualified trainer and spent many years as a nightclub Catering Manager and Conference Centre Manager.  She taught ‘Modern Jive’ and was an Argentine Tango demonstrator.  Ruth runs her events professionally and customer friendly – a warm welcome is guaranteed, with no cliques.  Adults only please.

Our regular venue for our ARGENTINE TANGO TEA DANCE is Croft Memorial Hall, Mustard Lane, Croft, Warrington, WA3 7BQ , so please check on TANGO TIMETABLE and our Facebook page  Tea and Tango Group  to see when the next event is being held.

Our Tea And Tango Argentine tango tea dances  are exceptionally friendly – so if you haven’t given us a try so far, do please consider popping in.  We get a full mix of beginners and intermediate/advanced dancers attending, so whatever your level you should feel quite at ease.  At our tango tea dances the large selection of refreshments – including gluten-free – are made up that morning and served while you dance, with flavoured teas and coffees and a selection of juices and squashes.  Check out https://www.tangotimetable.com/events/1810/9135/tea-and-tango-tea-dance-at-croft/https://

We also organise monthly FAB FRIDAYS at Grappenhall Community Centre just 2 minutes from Junction 20 of the M6 motorway near Warrington in the Old Barn at Grappenhall.

A relaxing evening 8-11.30pm at Fab Friday has traditional and alternative tango tandas – perk up your dancing with our great DJs, licenced bar, large car park and wonderful  wooden floor on which to dance tango – really easy access just 2 mins from M6 Junction 20.  £7 per person – licensed bar also offers tea and coffee.

We have brilliant tango DJs

who incorporate their own tango style into the distinctive events we provide, whether it be our Fabulous Fridays with a 50/50  mix of traditional and alternative tango music, or our very traditional Argentine Tango Sunday tea dances at Croft.
