10 March 2019 Tea Dance at Croft: DJ “Toppers” from Simply Tango, Preston

It is with delight that I report we had again over 50 dancers turn up and support us at our latest Argentine tango tea dance this Sunday.  Toppers was on fire with his music and played some breath taking milongas I was dying to dance to, but stuck in the kitchen all I could do was listen and do choreography in my head.

Our men worked extra hard, but talking around the room all the ladies had lots of dances and it was lovely that Bruce and Tricia Cannon from Tango Newport http://www.tangoenacogedor.com/ were able to join us after such a long time since their last visit – lovely to see you both and thank you for bringing some of your dancers to our humble event, we are very grateful and hope that you enjoyed your visit.

My thanks as ever to Kath Topping for the continued support (morale and otherwise) and to Bev for always helping to tidy up as we close for the day.

Don from Newton Dance Shoes http://www.newtondanceshoes.com/nuevaepoca.html came with his lovely tango shoes and I was lucky enough to buy a beautiful red pair (see below) and try them out on the dance floor straight away to a terrific milonga tanda with Toppers.  Perfect!

Thank you for the wonderful feedback on the buffet – it is so nice to know that my hard work is appreciated, and there wasn’t much left so I know you enjoyed it.
